We stayed at The Barrel Store for a night, a family of four, after a wedding. The room was perfect, with comfortable and spacious bunk beds. The manager was incredibly helpful and kind. The venue was centrally located and offered great value for money. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was a Tesco right next door. The building felt secure and safe, with keycode entry at the main entrance. a lovely place for a quick one night stay.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The value for money at The Barrel Store was really good. The room wasnice and neat, and the location was perfect, with a big Tesco and the town centre just next door.
The breakfast option could have been improved with a wider variety of choices.

The location of this hotel was excellent, right in the heart of town and close to a car park. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we had a problem with the smoke alarm. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with updated facilities. The kitchen and dining area were a great addition, allowing us to prepare and enjoy our own meals.
The mattress in the room was too thin and uncomfortable, which made for a less than restful night's sleep. It would have been helpful to have been shown how to open the windows or provided with a fan, as it was quite hot during our stay.

Convenient location beside Tesco and town centre, with free parking from 6pm-10am. Clean and comfortable for a one night stay, with helpful receptionist who guided me amidst the confusing one-way system. The kitchen and dining area were ideal for self-catering. No mention of breakfast inclusion, but overall a positive experience in a well-maintained property.

During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the helpful and friendly staff. They were always ready to assist and made my check-in process a breeze. the central location of the hotel was another major plus. Being right in the heart of the town meant that I had easy access to all the local attractions, shops, and restaurants. Plus, the free parking after 3pm was a huge bonus, making it convenient for me to explore the area without worrying about my car.
One aspect that I didn't particularly enjoy during my stay was the noise from the fire doors. They had a tendency to slam shut, which could be quite disruptive, especially in the early mornings.
